Guidance for Artful Living
“Each life is a work of art …
Let’s explore ways to make it beautiful!”
I’m a trainer in meditation and mindfulness for 15 years in the tradition of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh as well as an Oklahoma poet and Artist-in-Residence. I’m also a mother, grandmother, widow, teacher, and spiritual director.
In 1997 I had a health crisis with no diagnosis, so went into silence for a year to recreate my life.
Since then, I’ve been growing and harvesting the gifts of that experience.
I’ve facilitated Silence Playshops in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Other projects include: The Silence Foundation, Prairie Wind Sangha, The Resilience Project, and Journaling Playshops. My Journaling Guidebook was just published.
My mission is share the healing and restorative benefits of silence and show people how to use the contemplative arts to make their daily lives more vibrant and artful.
In private sessions, I love to help individuals and families hear their Wise One Within (WOW!) and find their own answers to life’s questions. Writing, art-making, and a playful approach to mindfulness keeps things fresh, fun and forward moving. Let’s play!
